Hello,
i will buy a used Elitebook 840 but the owner don't know the resolution and the OS is deleted, so how can i find the resolution from the Display? About the SN?

Hi:
You may not be able to, but ask the seller for product number/serial number and see if you can figure out what the display panel resolution is from the list of parts when you enter it at the link below.
If there is only one display panel listed, hopefully it will provide the resolution.

Yes, from what I can tell, that display panel is 1600 x 900.
