Elitebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

trying to install Insignia USB to HDMI Adapter, but it doesnt work (Ive tried with 3 different hardware). When going into Device Manager, I can see an exclamation mark right on the driver icon.

After hitting upgrade driver, I get a: Displaylink USB Device "Driver is not intended for this platform"

Ive tried downloading the latest driver from insignia. Also tried updating everything on the laptop including Bios.

Please advice

P.S. Ive also tried with a USB docking station which also uses Displalink Software.. same issue

@RushLegend

Sorry, but there is nothing we here can do about this.

I ran into exactly the same issue with my USB-to-VGA adapter and had to go through three different brands until I got one that actually worked.

HP Elitebook 840 G6

Hello

I used 840 G6 only with HP USB-C to HDMI device, not needing any DisplayLink driver.

I could try with HP USB Universal Dock G2, but I'm sure it works even if connected VIA USB. it uses DisplayLink software.

Want you try to install DisplayLink software provided by HP, it it doesn't work,  you just have to unistall it.

Which Windows 10 version are you using 1903, 1909 ?

bye
