Do I have 2 PCIe gen 4 ssd slots? I have been looking at my users manual, but Turkish user manual doesn't state that info, and I've seen some videos that states it has one gen 3 and one gen 4 slots. But when I check HWinfo It states one empty gen 4 slot.
Edit: My laptop's model is HP Victus 16 inch 16-d1026nt (53F49AV)

I'm positive that the thread I linked to for you to read, with Paul_Tikkanen EXPERT Level 21 's solution applies to your laptop. There are many different motherboards for this model. Every different CPU or GPU gets a different mobo, since they're soldered on it. However, the basic fundamental design of the motherboard remains the same. For a PCIe slot to be Gen3.0 or 4.0, the whole design has to be radically changed, so this would mean that the numbers for the model would probably be something like 16-d2024nt , 16-d2030np and NOT 16-d1024nt , 16-d1030np. These differences in the product numbers you mentioned are superficial changes such as wifi cards, keyboard layouts, ssd sizes, cpu/gpu, etc, etc. To understand how the PCIe Gen is configured within the motherboard, and how it would require a complete makeover of the whole system board to change it, you can read this thread:
I think that you are baffled by what HWiNFO reports, so I'll just explain that. HWiNFO isn't always 100% correct. If you had ONE m.2 slot, the report would probably be accurate. But with the 2 m.2 slots you have, it makes sense that there was a small oversight when filling in the BIOS data, and they only included the Gen4.0 data. You see, HWiNFO's SMBIOS list is just data entered by the manufacturer, and not really READ by the program off the controllers, chips, etc. See these two explanations by a HWiNFO Staff member: HWiNFO identifying m.2 slot HWiNFO checking PCI version.
In your case, we can call HWiNFO's report on your second m.2 slot a false positive.....

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I have seen some motherboards that doesn't include the gen of the first ssd slot (under second slot it states gen4, but first just says ssd). I am not sure about "Pxcandeias"s motherboard is the same one. Do motherboards differ if the last 2 letters change the motherboard (16-d1024nt , 16-d1030np) or It's just about the number (16-d1024nt , 16-d1030np)? Thanks again for the help 🙂
