I have got a HP Notebook [personal information removed], product no 1JM91EA#ABV
currently equipped with HDD and would like to upgrade it to SSD, just wondering if I can go with M.2 type PCI SSD or should I go with SATA SSD? As I am not sure if their is any M.2 slot in it.
Let me know please.
Thanks

It is an HP 15-ay132ne, its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05407254
Manual:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06189775.pdf
It does not support dual storage therefore the chance to have M.2 slot is 50/50 (only know when open the machine). If lucky you can add M.2 SATA SSD drive to your machine.
Regards.

Hi, @singhsaab
None of the 15-ay models that did not come with a M.2 SSD from the factory have M.2 slots.
If the PC had come with a M.2 SSD, it would have been SATA only as your PC's model series only supports SATA M.2 SSD's, not NVMe.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.
When you look at the list of parts in chapter 3, you can see that an additional part is used to add a M.2 SSD slot to the PC.
