I am looking to upgrade the storage on my laptop, im wondering if there are any storage expansion slots and which ones are compatible (sata m.2 etc) and where the existing 64gb emmc is, any help much appreciated

Hi:

 

Yes, you can install a M.2 SATA SSD in the expansion slot that you see to the left of the memory chip in your screenshot.

 

NVMe SSD's are not supported in the notebooks with 64 GB eMMC drives.

 

Something like this:  This is the 500 GB model.

 

WD Blue SA510 500GB M.2 SATA SSD with up to 560MB/s read speed : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessori...

 

Since you have the notebook apart, you may want to take this opportunity to replace the 4 GB memory chip with an 8 GB memory chip.
