I wanted to know if HP 14cd0003ne bios and port support M.2 (2280) nvme SSD. It can only be upgradable up to 512GB.
HP technical support gave a green signal for this, but I wanted to specifically know if there is any problem installing PCI-E gen 3.0x4 nvme SSD.
I also got help from mrmemory website to check. please take a look at the link below.

If I buy 500GB Samsung 970 Evo plus M.2 nvme SSD would it work?
Description :
Dimension: 8.15 x 2.21 x 0.2 cm
Digital Storage: Capacity 500 GB
Hard Disk Interface: PCI-E x 4
Brand: Samsung Model Name 970 EVO Plus
Interface : NVMe (PCIe Gen 3.0 x 4). Voltage:3.3 V ± 5 %

Please tell me will this configuration work?
Should I give some instruction to the HP service center to enable nvme configuration in BIOS?

Hi:
Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates your notebook's M.2 slot supports NVMe drives.
You should not need to make any changes to the BIOS to install it.
The Samsung 970 should work fine, but I would take a look at the newer Samsung 980 which seems to cost less.
