I have a HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock that I use with my work notebook. When I tried using it with my personal notebook (15t-dy100), the only things that seem to work are the power delivery and ethernet connection. The displays do not work with it. Anyone know why? And if there is anything that can be done to get it to work?

It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
For more connectivity, please use
True Universal Docking Stations
