I have a HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dh0xxx. I bought a dock station in amazon and most of the ports did not work (HDMI, sound, etc). Is it because the USB-c port in this laptop doesn't transfer data? Apart the very expensive HP docking stations, is that any other regular one that would work with this laptop?
I would appreciate an answer considering I don't know much of the IT jargons. Thanks.

What is your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dh0xxx ? For example
Your machine should have same ports. It should have 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate) port. That port is not compatible with your USB-C hub.
You can use standard USB-A docking station. There are many around, some support 2 external monitors, some don't.
If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)
