HP 15z-cw000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP 15z-cw000 CTO Pavilion laptop.  I want to buy a docking station for it.  I have learned about USB, USB-C, and Thunderbolt3 ports.  My laptop has a USB-C port but I keep trying to find out if it supports charging of the laptop while docked.  If so I will buy with a USB-c.  However ever time I ask HP they never can tell me.  They offer a Kensington 3 docking station but that appears not to be connected via the USB-c.  Can anyone tell me of the port and also recommend some docking stations to buy?

It is a CTO machine therefore we don't have it specs but it should be very similar to the HP 15-cw0xx machines which have following ports

1 HDMI 1.4;

1 headphone/microphone combo;

1 RJ-45;

2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only);

1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer Only)

As you can see the USB-C port is for Data transfer only which is similar to USB 3.1 type A, only the shape is not the same.

Please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few options on market today including some HP products:
