Hello,
I just bought a Omen 15-DH0049NB and i was trying to figure out with which hp docking station it would work properly. I don't seem to find any info about this specifically. Are there any problems / catches?
Use: Connecting to a gaming monitor, keyboard, mouse and sound system (without opening the portable screen)
Thanks

Good news and bad news. Good news is you have a Thunderbolt type USB-C port so you can have a high performance external display. Bad news is that your USB-C port does not support charging, based on the specs in the Manual and your laptop is paired from the factory with a 200w barrel style adapter. There is not really a docking station as such. A true dock powers the laptop and turns it on and off. These are no available only on HP business workstation type laptops. For all others you can use a "port replicator", but the terminology is muddled as many are called docks. You are not going to be able to turn the laptop on and off without opening the screen and using the power button above the top left of the keyboard. And it appears you cannot charge the laptop with a USB-C charger so a dock will not charge it. I am less than 100% on that, however as it is Thunderbolt and I had understood a true Thunderbolt port accepts power delivery.
The above would work with the caveats I mentioned. Post back with any more questions.
