The specs of your machine is

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06452569

which shows it has

  • 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C™ (Data Transfer Only, 5 Gb/s signaling rate);
  • 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (Data Transfer Only);
  • 1 AC smart pin;
  • 1 HDMI 1.4;
  • 1 headphone/microphone combo

You have to use HDMI port to connect to an external monitor. Now, just forget USB-C port, please use USB-A port and one of the following docks

Ok, I understand I have to use the HDMI of my laptop - too bad.

For my other connections (headphone, mouse...) I am just confused about your link to USB-C  docks, however you tell to use my USB-A port!?

Many thanks Banhien for your fast reply anyway!
