I've just got one of the new HP 2013 ultraslim docking stations connected to a new HP 840G3 but it just tells me it's "plugged in, not charging"

 

Can anyone advise please

Hello stuarta999,

 

Please try connecting to AC adapter and see if you still get the same message.

 

Steps :

1) Update to the Latest BIOS

2) Calibrate the battery

Sorry do you mean connecting to the adaptor off the dock?

Please undock the PC and insert the Laptop's AC adaptor to the charging port of the laptop directly.

Ok just plugged in the adaptor that came with the laptop and it charges fine.  Interestingly now it’s back on the dock it appears to be charging again, the display just shows 10 min to full charge

Ok so it worked yesterday after plugging in the supplied charger off the dock.  Planed back on the dock this morning and it's showing the same.  99% available (Plugged in, not charging)

Mine is doing the name but I cannot plug the same charger in my laptoip because they are different adaptors
