I have an HP USB-C G5 Essential Dock at work. this one works perfectly. Now I bought the same one privately, but it does not charge the laptop at home. it's the exact same docking station.

Is your machine the same ? HP has few versions of HP USB-C G5, which one is at home and which one is at work ?

At work I have a HP USB-C G5 with an HP Workstation ZBook 17 G6.

 

At home I have a HP USB-C G5 essential Dock. Some people say that there is an differerance in the power connection. 65 W and 100 W. But when I read the manuals it is both to 65 W
