Product: hp pavilion 15-au117tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does hp pavilion 15-au117tx have M.2 slot? As per the manual, M.2 slot is available. And I’ve seen other query’s where the slot is located to the left side of HDD default drive. I've open the back panel but couldn't find any M.2 slots. I have attached the photos of my laptop. Can you confirm this laptop has the M.2 slot? If not can you suggest a better option to upgrade from HDD to SSD.IMG_6470 (1).pngIMG_6469 (1).pngfull viewfull viewThank you

Hi:

 

It appears to me that your notebook has a M.2 slot.

 

Look at your second screenshot.

 

The M.2 slot has that ribbon cable connected to it with the blue strip closest to the slot.

 

The screw to hold down the M.2 SSD is brass hole inside the black plastic star-shaped mounting.

 

You can only install a SATA M.2 SSD in that slot, not NVMe.
