Dear sir or madam,
I wish you could help me with a few questions.

I want to buy 2 EEC SODIMM DDR4 16GB RAM modules and replace the original ones.
1) Is it even possible to replace them? Aren't they soldered up?
2) Does the motherboard (HP 86FD) support EEC memory?

I also want to buy a large capacity SSD NVME drive.
1) Is the original SSD replaceable?
2) Is there a capacity limit for SSD (i.e., won't I have any issues if I install 8TB SSD drive)?

Thank you for answering in advance!

@otiose,

Your HP Laptop 15s-eq0082ur (2L2T7EA) can be fitted with up to 2 x 16GB DDR4 PC4-19200, 2400 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM sticks.  Mind you, it is not entirely clear to me if your laptop's top DDR4 RAM speed could reach 2666 MHz (PC4-21300), so you may as well install DDR4 3200 MHz (PC4-25600) RAM sticks, which will then either down-throttle to 2666 or 2400 MHz, depending on what your system allows.

ECC RAM is Server RAM: this kind of RAM is not compatible with most PCs.

There is no M.2 NVMe SSD capacity ceiling/limit per se: you are only limited by your budget.  M.2 NVMe SSDs beyond 4TB are very pricey.

Hope this was helpful.
