I want to add an 250gb/500gb SSD to my laptop.
Does it have any m.2 slot?
If not, What are my other options for adding the ssd? Please consider that I don't want to throw away my HDD.

Hi:
Notebooks with the Intel® Pentium® N3710 do not have M.2 slots to add a SSD.
See chapter 1 of the service manual.

Your only option would be to remove the 2.5" mechanical hard drive and replace it with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
If the DVD drive is removable and you don't need to use the DVD drive, you could install the hard drive in an optical drive caddy.

Thanks for the answer.
One more question: If I've to replace the optical drive. Which one caddy should I buy (size-wise)? Will 9.5 mm caddy work in 9mm slot (also please can you verify if my laptop have 9mm slot)?

You're very welcome.
Page 3 of the service manual indicates the optical drive thickness is 9.0 mm.
Fixed, serial ATA, 9.0-mm tray load.
I don't know if a 9.5 mm caddy would fit.
I have never considered using an optical drive caddy for storage.

That I don't know either.
Optical drives are SATA I, but the drive controller might be faster SATA II or SATA III.
You can run the free utility that I zipped up and attached below, and see what the optical drive controller speed is.
Here is a screenshot of the report from the utility on my Dell Optiplex 7020 desktop PC, with a SATA 3 controller for the hard drive, but the SATA controller for the DVD drive is only SATA I (1.5 GB/S).
