Hi,
Space is not enough in my laptop. Can you please advice whether my PC supports M.2 derives with Generation 4 speeds. Will I get the full advantage of the generation 4 speeds. I am planning to buy either one of the below of 500/512 GB for the upgrade. Please advice. Thank you in advanced.

Hi, @Reza98
If you want to know if a PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD will run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds, the answer is no.
Your notebook's M.2 slot is PCIe Gen 3.0, so the fastest speeds you will get from a Gen 4 NVMe SSD will be in the vicinity of 3,500 MBPS.
Since notebook processors are integral parts of the motherboard you can look up the PCIe Generation the motherboard supports by visiting the applicable AMD or Intel website.
Looking up the Intel specs for your notebook's processor, you will see that both the processor and chipset are Gen 3.0.
Intel Core i51035G1 Processor 6M Cache up to 3.60 GHz Product Specifications
The specification is listed under the Expansion Options section.

The M.2 drives you are considering are supported.
There is no guarantee that the drives would run at Gen 4 bandwidth.
An installed SSD will run at the default chipset bandwidth.
