Hello. I bought ssd with nvme but the laptop doesnt detect it. I have already upgraded bios to the newest version but still the device hasn't been recognized. So does 15-cc502nw support nvme drives?

Solid-state drive:


For use only on computer models with model numbers 15-cc1xx and 15-cc6xx:

  • 512-GB, 2280, Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe), Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) solid-state drive
  • 256-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive

For use on all computer models:

  • 512-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state drive with triple-level cell (TLC)
  • 256-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state drive with TLC
  • 128-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state drive with TLC
  • 256-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state drive
  • 128-GB, 2280 M.2 SATA-3 solid-state drive

Is the m.2 slot activated so a drive can be installed at a later time for the hdd models?

Yes as long as it is the right kind.

Right kind as in SATA III for the 15-CC5XX? Manufacturer shouldn't matter right?
