According to chapter 1 of the manual, it has a M.2 slot that supports both SATA and NVMe SSD's.

You should be fine with that.

Check out the newer Samsung 980.  I think it is even cheaper than the 970.

Should i install samsung M.2 NvMe 980

Samsung SATA SSD 870 QVO?

I'd go with the newer 980.

There have probably been some minor improvements over the 970.

Hopefully the 980 runs a little cooler than the 970, for example.

Then there is the cost factor. 

It's not a huge difference (910 Rs/$25.70), but it still cost less.

And who doesn't want to save money?

Yes, Hp 15- Cs1000Tx have M.2 Nvme  SSD Slot I have Installed Kingston M.2 NVME SSD . ITs working fine.

Hi,

I too have HP Pavilion 15 cs1000tx laptop and tried to install M.2 SSD, but its not getting detected in BIOS or Device Manager or Disk Management.

Can you please let me know if you changed any BIOS settings or installed any drivers?

It would be helpful if you can share the detailed steps you did.
