NVME IS M.2...and yes you should get NVME. You can put WIndows on it many ways. You can clone from the hard drive use an HP recovery disk you can make from the existing installation or download a Windows installer thumb drive image from Microsoft's Media Creation Tool site. No Key Code needed it wil just activate. You can install as large a M.2 NVME SSD as you can find and as will fit your budget. No size limit and 2 TB models are widely available.

Yeah it does and the slot on your model can accept either the SATA M.2 or PCie/NVME M.2 and the latter cost just a little more and is about 5 times faster so that is what you want.
Start on p. 37 to remove rear cover. Once off, you see this inside:
M.2 slot in red circle
Put Windows on the M.2 SSD to have the speed increase. Post back if you need more help or please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
