Hi!

Paul, I have several G8 Business laptops and, although they don't include this particular model, HP introduced full USB-C charging support in this laptop series.

According to HP personnel, you can be sure that an HP notebook can be charged with a USB-C charger IF said laptop is sold with such a charger, or it is available as an accessory. Page 3 of the manual given above mentions two compatible USB-C chargers, 45W and a more powerful 65W one. The same can be seen on the Datasheet and the Brochure. In these documents Power Delivery is clearly mentioned concerning the USB-C port. Quickspecs PDF for this model provides all the necessary info.
