current 5400rpm hdd is tooo slow..

can i use this gigabyte ssd 240gb (type - SATA) on this laptop ?

I found it a bit cheaper...3,160 Rs.

Now this one costs a little bit more, but it is faster, and has a better warranty (5 years).  Plus you get 10 GB more storage.

for curiosity - is there any difference between the gigabyte ssd which u shown and i shown (the price is kinda same too) ??

Crucial mx500 still looks better indeed ..

Hi:

 

For the small difference in price I would go with the Crucial...

 

5 year warranty vs 3 year.

 

 560/510 MB/s read/write speed vs 500/420 MB/Ss

 

250 GB storage vs 240 GB.

 

The amazon site only lists the read speed for the Gigabyte drive, but I looked that model up on the Gigabyte website, and you can find the full specs for the drive there.
