From the manuals:

 

Two SODIMM customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slots
DDR3L-1600-MHz dual channel support
DDR3L-1333-MHz single channel support (DDR3L-1600 downgraded to DDR3L-1333)(E1 processors)
Supports up to 8 GB max system memory (DDR3L-1600MHz module), (select models only)
Supports the following system RAM configurations:
8192 MB (8192 MB×1)
6144 MB (4096 MB×1 + 2048 MB×1)
4096 MB (4096 MB×1 or 2048 MB×2)
2048 MB (2048 MB×1)

Your machine is does not use E1 processor therefore it has 2 slots.

So i decided to try something and this was the End Result 🙂

And if it takes 12 it would take 16.

So this is with the stock samsung 4 gig stick 204 pin sodim ddr3 and I added a kingston8 GB 1600MHz PC3-12800. Now I wish I could of done the same manufacturers but I did what money allowed.

Both sticks are the same pc3-12800, on first boot it did seem to take a bit longer. That being said very quick now.

I was tricked into thinking 8 (4*2) was the max but after reading this i just tried 16 (8*8) and it works. upset i didnt try this before
