Does hp 14q-cs0006 have a backlight for keyboard?? If so how do I turn it on??

The keyboard is not listed as backlit and it would be if it were. 

 

A backlit keyboard was offered on some models in that series. See the Service Manual here:

Page 13 shows the "action keys". If it had a backlight you turn it on with a key that has a graphic of a horizontal row of black blocks and then a burst of light symbol on the left end of it. 

 

A lot of people ask about adding a backlit keyboard post-purchase but very few do it because of the cost and difficulty of retrofitting. The Manual says this:

The top cover with keyboard remains after removing all other spared parts from the computer

 

In other words it has to be completely field stripped and the keyboard and top cover is what is left over. And to get the backlit keyboard and top cover from HP its very expensive. If you look on eBay you might find some sellers offering a backlit keyboard for like $25-30 but they don't tell you how hard it is to install.
