Hi:

Your notebook does not have a M.2 slot.

If you want to install a SSD, you would have to remove the 2.5" mechanical hard drive and replace it with a 2.5" SSD.

Below is the link to the service manual...

Thanks for your highly support. I have another question please how do I know the caddy size to carry a new SSD?

You're very welcome.

You don't need one.

A 7.0mm drive will fit fine where the drive is now, if it is a 9.5mm one.

If you are still worried about that, buy a Crucial MX SSD and it will come with the adapter.

I want to use both disks, the SSD as the boot drive, and the HDD as a storage drive.

HP Recommended

You can only use one disk in your notebook unless you remove the DVD drive and install a HDD converter in its place, and I won't be able to help you with that.

I would just buy a large enough 2.5" SSD to meet your storage needs and live with one drive like you are now.

sorry, if I need to use both SSD and HDD internally on my laptop,
Hint: I can dispense the DVD drive.

Kindly tell me the steps for doing it. Regards.

Hi:

As I wrote earlier, I would not be able to help you with that.

I have never done such a project before, and would never consider doing it.

I recommend you start a new post on how to install a hard drive where the DVD drive goes.

Ok, Thank you so much.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance where I could.
