I am looking to upgrade my current laptop with a SSD< does it support a SSD along with the present HDD?

No. Sorry. It only has a single 2.5 inch SATA drive bay.
The only way to do what you ask would be to put an SSD in the main bay and then a hdd in an optical bay adapter/caddy, which I do not recommend but a lot of people do.
See p. 59 for instructions on accessing the 2.5 inch SATA drive bay.

It is a device in the shape of a DVD drive that has a hollow place inside to hold a SATA hard drive. Plugs into the laptop in lieu of the DVD drive. Very easy to install.
The SATA port for the DVD drive does not run at full speed so performance is not great but good enough for general storage and you can run video files and .mp3s from it OK. It will not be bootable. Yes, the best advice if you want to do this is put an SSD (2.5 inch SATA type) inside the laptop and then move the original hard drive to the optical adapter.
