No, but there is a workaraound.
Your notebook does not have a DisplayPort.
You can use a gender changing adapter to use an DisplayPort cable to connect to the projector.
You can purchase gender changing adapters online from many vendors, including NewEgg.com and Amazon.com.

A search I did to find gender changing cable adapters

Thank you very much for taking a moment!
I don't think that is exactly what I was asking about.
DisplayPort Alternate Mode seems to be a capability that a USB-C port can have or not have depending on the physical wiring inside the port.
I am looking to buy a USB-C hub that has two HDMI ports on it. It has this statement in the description :
"USB Type C Hub requires DisplayPort Alternate Mode support to view video over USB-C with this USB C Docking Station."
Do you have any insight into that?

No worries. We are here for you!
Unfortunately, your notebook has USB 3.0 Type-C and that does not have the features you seek for vbideo connectivity via a USB type-C hub
Some notebooks with USB 3.1 Type-C or USB 3.2 Type-C do have that capability but yours does not.
Your notebook has
1 HDMI; 1 headphone/microphone combo; 3 USB 3.0 (1 HP USB Boost); 1 USB 3.0 (Type-C™)
I notice in the link for the Hub you are considering, it does suggest connectivity with a number of brands and models of top tier notebooks. Sadly, yours is not in that category.Top tier notebooks get the advanced features.
You can see more details about the features your notebook has in the Maintenance & Service guide at the link below this line.
