I'm planning to put an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD on my HP Pavillion 14 ce-0002ne but I don't know if my laptop model support that.

From page 2 of its manual, it supports both M.2 SATA-3 or NVMe SSD plus 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD. I can not find its specs

I believe it has 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA now, you can add 1TB or 2TB M.2 SSD to your machine using standard PCIe 3x4 M.2 SSD on market today.

According to your Service Guide that model came eqipped with the following drives-
(12) Solid-state drive:
512-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive L18510-001
256-GB, M.2 2280, SATA-3, solid-state drive with TLC L18508-001
256-GB, 2280, PCIe, NVMe solid-state drive L18509-001
128-GB, M.2 2280, SATA-3, solid-state drive with TLC L18507-001
Optane memory module, 2280, PCIe, NVMe, 16-GB L18506-001
