I want to replace my 1 TB hdd with a 1 TB NVMe SSD but I don't know if my motherboard has a slot to support it. My laptop motherboard is HP 81DE (U3E1) motherboard and there is literally no info about this motherboard in the internet. My laptop is HP Notebook 14-am125tx.

Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual.
HP Notebook PCHP 240 G5 Notebook PCHP 246 G5 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide
Chapter 1 has the supported drive types.
If your notebook had a M.2 slot, it would only support SATA SSD's not NVMe.
However, your notebook does not have a M.2 slot because on the 14-amXXX model series, the M.2 slot is only there if the notebook came with a M.2 SATA SSD from the factory.
Additional parts are added to provide for M.2 SATA drive support which are listed in chapter 3 of the manual.
I suggest you replace the mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD which will still provide a significant performance boost.
