HP 14s Notebook - DK0023AU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 2x4 GB DDR4 ram installed, but for some reason on CPUz it shows that my laptop is still running Single Channel. Does anyone have any thoughts as to why? The manual book said that mine supposedly supports dual channel though.

It is an HP Notebook - 14s-dk0023au, its specs

Yes, it does support DUAL channel RAM but tt only has 4 GB DDR4-1866 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) of RAM. It can't run dual (means 2) with a single piece of RAM.  You have to have 2 same RAM on 2 slots to be able it to run DUAL

But my laptop already has 2x4 GB DDR4 ram installed, but it still won't get enabled in dual channel mode. Does it have anything to do with different brand or processor?

It specs shows in only has 4GB on slot 1. Did you add 4GB yourself ? Did you use same existing RAM. Not same RAM on 2 slots, it won't run as dual channels.

The other 4 GB ram was already there when I bought this laptop, I checked from CPUz, the ram weren't the same brand, nor speed, nor latency. The one in slot 1 was made by Team Group, the one in slot 2 was made by Samsung.
