Hello HP Community,

 

I am currently using the Laptop : HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-cr0xxx Signature Edition

Model number : 15-cr0091ms

 

My laptop has recently become slow, and I've figured maybe it's because of the space constraint I have on my SSD.

 

I'm currently using a SAMSUNG MZNLN128HAHQ-000H1 128.0 GB where the current interface is Serial ATA and my disk space is almost full.

 

The question I have now is, Can I upgrade to a M.2 PCIE NVME or would I have to stick to a M.2 SATA SSD?

 

This question is for the reason I understand that SATA uses 2 notches, and NVME uses 1 notch.

 

Also another question regarding RAM,

 

Currently, I'm using RAM of 8GB DDR4 - 2400 (1200 MHz) Single Rank by Ramaxel Technology where my CL IS 10 Clocks.

 

I also see, that I have another RAM Slot available, can I install the Kingston ValueRAM 8GB 2400 MHZ DDR4 where the CL is 17?

Hey-ho.

 

It seems this PC supports SATA3 and M2, not NVME.

On Crucial website, you could find some upgrades for it (RAM and SSD):

Hello Old_Dad,

 

I went on the Crucial website, and they even recommend me NVME PCIE SSD's.

 

Even on the link you have provided me, if you scroll down, they recommend using their NVME PCIE SSD.

 

Also, the HP Manual talks about NVME PCIE SSD for Cr0000 products, but I'm still not sure if it is for my laptop.

 

So yeah, I'm still confused if whether my laptop supports NVME or not.

my bad. I was a bit hurry when I replied and didnt dig enough. Well, if on Crucial Website, for YOUR PC, they suggest NVME drive, you could be sure it is compatible with.
