Hi:
Yes, your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's.
It has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 16 GB of memory.
See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types and memory upgrade info...

That is correct.
32 GB installed as 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2666 or DDR4-3200 memory.

One last question before I head to bestbuy I notice that theres both 3×4 nvme and 4×4 nvme for the ssd does that really matter much does my laptop have a specific requirement for that or can it use either or?

Hi:
Your notebook's NVMe slot will only run a NVMe SSD at the PCIe Gen 3 speed.
While a Gen 4 NVMe SSD will work, it will only run at the Gen 3 speed and not achieve its maximum rated sequential read/write speed.
Gem 4 NVMe SSD's currently cost more than the Gen 3 ones, so if you have no plans on moving a Gen 4 NVMe SSD to a newer PC in the future, save your money and buy a Gen 3 one.
