Hi:

Yes, your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's.

It has two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 16 GB of memory.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types and memory upgrade info...

Thanks much so it supports up to 32 gb of ram total?

You're very welcome.

That is correct.

32 GB installed as 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2666 or DDR4-3200 memory.

One other question I know it has both an amd integrated graphics as well as a nvidea gtx 1650. Is the nvidea gpu integrated as well or can I upgrade it. Or alternatively will it support and eGPU?

HP Recommended

Hi:

Both adapters are integral parts of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

Unfortunately, I would not know the answer to your question regarding an eGPU and recommend you start a new topic on that.

One last question before I head to bestbuy I notice that theres both 3×4 nvme and 4×4 nvme for the ssd does that really matter much does my laptop have a specific requirement for that or can it use either or?

Hi:

Your notebook's NVMe slot will only run a NVMe SSD at the PCIe Gen 3 speed.

While a Gen 4 NVMe SSD will work, it will only run at the Gen 3 speed and not achieve its maximum rated sequential read/write speed.

Gem 4 NVMe SSD's currently cost more than the Gen 3 ones, so if you have no plans on moving a Gen 4 NVMe SSD to a newer PC in the future, save your money and buy a Gen 3 one.

These are the three I recommend...I have posted the links to the 500 GB capacities.  They come larger and smaller...
