I want to upgrade my PC's performance. I wanted to know exactly which type of SSD support is there? There are a lot of jargons that are beyond my understanding, like M.2 SATA SSD, M.2 NVMe SSD, M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. Can you please help me precisely which type of SSD's are compatible with my model number. Also, does it support both HDD and SSD together internally. Also, it would be great if you could suggest some models(500GB plus) that I may consider?
Thanks in advance!

Hi:
The 15-cc100 model series supports NVMe M.2 SSD's.
You can review this related discussion regarding another 15-cc1xx model where the forum member upgraded to a NVMe SSD.
You may be able to use the hard drive for storage but you cannot have an operating system on it or the notebook will always want to boot from the 2.5" drive first.
I recommend that you temporarily disconnect the 2.5" drive and get the SSD set up and running first before reconnecting it.

Hey ! Thanks for your time. I have gone through the discussion. But I still have some doubts.
In simple terms, I am sharing some options of SSD's. Tell me which one to buy which is surely compatible with CC-102tx.
1. SAMSUNG 980 500 GB Laptop, Desktop Internal Solid State Drive (MZ-V8V500BW)
SAMSUNG 980 500 GB Laptop, Desktop Internal Solid State Drive (MZ-V8V500BW)
3. SAMSUNG 870 Evo 500 GB Laptop, Desktop Internal Solid State Drive (MZ-77E500BW)
Just Recommend one of these. I'll be able to get which one is 100% compatible with my laptop.
Also, if multiple options are compatible. Recommend the one with which I can use both my HDD and SSD.
Thankyou

You're very welcome.
The second option should work just fine.
The third option is a 2.5" SATA drive not M.2.
If you want a Samsung SATA M.2 option, then you would get this one...
NVMe SSD's provide faster read/write speeds than SATA ones do.
