I have to upgrade my PC to an SSD.  So does my PC support NVMe SSD

Your notebook has support for the SATA3 interface, but not for NVMe.

So it mean I have to buy a m.2 ssd for upgrading it

That will depend on if there is an M.2  SSD slot on the system board.

 

I do not have the notebook, so I can't open it to check.

 

I do know that you can replace the existing hard disk with a notebook 2.5" SATA3 SSD.

I was able to open the HP services media library to do a check.

 

Your notebook may have a M.2 connector. If it is present  it will be on the far right hand side, below the memory module slots of the notebook's system board. You or a shop notebook technician will need to open the notebook to verify whether or not it is present.
