Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a 15-da1077ne, the main built-in battery got swollen with no reason, so I removed it, but the bios keeps reseting since then..

does it have a CMOS battery I can replace? or since the main battery is built-in they don't put the coin cell one?
NB: I can't replace the main battery for now, so I need to know if there is a CMOS battery I can replace..

Thank you..1644131934834.jpg1644131934920.jpg

Hi:

Your notebook's main battery also serves as a CMOS battery.

If you look at chapter 3 of the service manual, you will not find a CMOS or RTC battery listed as a part.

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

If you look at chapter 6 of the service manual, there is no procedure to remove or replace the RTC (CMOS) battery.

So no way to stop resetting in bios? I should live with it untill the main battery is installed?

And Thanks again Paul, the M.2 is working fine BTW..

You're very welcome.

There isn't any way that I know of unless you leave the notebook in sleep mode all of the time.

Glad the M.2 SSD is working for you.
