I would like to connect my laptop/convertible to my tv screen via HDMI. Is the USB-c port of my device compatible to an adapter for HDMI?
Thanks.

The VAVA specs clearly say it requires a USB-C with Alt-DP as I suspected so was not going to work with your laptop for video. I do not read Italian so hard to analyze the other 2. Generally the small-sized docks do not have DisplayLink and the larger ones do but this is a very rough generalization. The one I linked above is DisplayLink. Search that word in the eBay search and you will find some docks that will work. This one from eBay Germany (I can read a bit of German):

No it is a data only USB-C port so does not carry a video signal. You do have an HDMI port built into the laptop. You could use a USB-C dock with DisplayLink and have a video signal coming from an HDMI port on the dock. Post back if you have any more questions

Thanks Huffer!
What do you mean by "you could use a USB-C dock with DisplayLink and have a video signal coming from an HDMI port on the dock"?
I'm currently using a USB-C dock (with USB-A 2.0 e 3.0, LAN and HDMI - connected to an external monitor - ) connected to the USB-C of the laptop. Unfortunately no video signal is coming to the monitor (the other ports work properly). I often bring the laptop with me and my idea was to use only the USB-C dock to connect all the peripherals (including the monitor) avoiding to insert each time the HDMI cable into the HDMI port of the laptop. But, as I said, it doesn't work.

Not sure what kind of dock you have. Some rely on the USB-C port putting out an Alt-DP signal which activates the video ports on the dock. Some have a DisplayLink adapter in the dock which makes a video signal from a legacy USB connection either USB-C or legacy USB 3.0. As said above your USB-C is the simple data type and carries no video signal natively. Can you tell us the type of dock you are using? This is an example of a USB-C dock with DisplayLink:

Thanks again Huffer!
The dock I'm using is a VAVA https://www.vava.com/products/usb-c-hub-9-in-1-adapter-with-pd-power-delivery
Unfortunately the connection to an external monitor via the HDMI port of the hub doesn't work. This is why I'm considering to buy a new hub: Mediacom MD-C309 https://www.ebay.com/itm/115733621203?hash=item1af242e9d3:g:WtkAAOSwG11kGwIb&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAwC...
or Mediacom MD-C320 https://www.ebay.com/itm/195597564087?epid=23056278105&hash=item2d8a85f8b7:g:r2IAAOSwgFpj6wh9&amdata...
Before buying it I'd like to be sure it will work properly with HDMI as well. Can you help me to understand if one the two Mediacom Product could be suitable for my needs? Or give me an advice on which hub I could buy? Thanks a lot. Gerlando
