Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello. I have a HP Spectre x360 which was bought in the USA. But I live in a country where we use 220V.

The ac adapter of the laptop is multi-voltage “100-240V”, but in the power cord they gave me it’s written at the end(the part where it connects to the plug) “LP-31M 7A 125V E55349”, but along the cable of the power cord it’s written “(UL) SPT-2 60 C E55333 VW-1 GREEN CONDUCTOR FOR GROUNDING ONLY 3x0.824mm2(18AWG) 300V...”.

So I wanted to know, if it’s ok to use this power cord with just an adapter (without a converter nor transformer) in a country with 220V?

Ps: Today a used it for a brief time(an hour or less) and it charged the computer(it was the first time doing it).

Thank you in advance for your time and patience.

You can use it around the world using normal household AC power points. All you need is a tourist adapter from any international airport or tourist shops.

All laptops from all vendors are dedigned that way (to be able to travel around the world). On some countries, they only use 2 prongs, they don't use the "green" grounding prong, the note says: don't connect power to the green grounding prong.

Ok. I was a bit concerned because someone told me to buy a new power cord, I needed another opinion because I had already read it elsewhere that it was ok to use. So I needed a second opinion.
Thank you!

Why is the power cord and power plug rated at 125V that connects to the Power adapter rated at 100-240V? You are saying you can still use this combination in countries with 220-240V power supply?
