HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-dk0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently installed a 2.5 inch sata ssd to my pavilion gaming laptop. It used some sata cable that I had to detach from the motherboard, then reconnect. But I'm wondering if there are ways to connect it (like making sure it's straight, or 100% plugged in). I put it back the best I could. Everything seems to work. I'm currently cloning data to it from an hdd, but it's only copying at 25 MB/s. I usually get 180MB/s from my cloning software. Is it okay for it to curve too? I just wanna know if it's alright and I'm just overreacting. Thanks!

We would need to see what you did. Where did you get the cable and how is it connected?

(The picture below is not from my pc, it's from a video) I used the cable that came with the laptop. Mine appeared to be slightly longer than the one in this picture, thus making it have extra room at the end causing it to bend and be pressed on by the back panel. It's not as bad as it sounds. But maybe I should've tried to pull it back?

Jut make sure the tip is fully inserted into the zif connector. You can fold the cable and tape it down if you have to. Not sure why you are getting such low transfer speed out of it. Usually the cable either works or not.
