Hello all, does my laptop a HP Pavilion Gaming 15-cx0000 Laptop PC have a CMOS battery or is it part of the main battery.  I have just replaced the main battery but could not find the CMOS Thanks Bryan

Hi:

 

Your notebook does not have a CMOS (AKA Real Time Clock-RTC) battery.

 

The main battery also serves as the RTC battery to maintain any custom BIOS settings, date and time.

Chapter 3 has the list of parts.  NO CMOS/RTC battery is listed.

 

Chapter 5 has the component removal and replacement procedures.

 

There is no procedure to remove or replace a CMOS/RTC battery.
