For my HP 15-da3001TU laptop:

Can I use all of the following together at the same time?

Existing 1 TB HDD

New 500 GB NVMe SSD

Existing 4 GB RAM

New 8 GB RAM in the second RAM slot

Please confirm whether:

The second RAM slot is free.

The NVMe SSD uses a separate M.2 slot.

Adding the NVMe SSD will not occupy or disable any RAM slot.

I can upgrade both RAM and NVMe SSD together without removing the HDD.

@Cha06,

Here are answers to your questions.

Your notebook with an Intel i3-1005G1 processor comes with two memory slots. You can install an 8 GB memory module in an empty second slot.

You can install a 500 GB M.2 NVMe SSD in a separate empty M.2 slot.

An M.2 NVMe SSD uses an M.2 slot, not RAM slot. You can install an 8 GB RAM stick in a second memory slot.

Yes, you can upgrade both RAM and NVMe SSD without removing the HDD. The service manual (on pages 2-3) indicates that your model supports dual storage configurations (HDD+M.2 SSD).

Be sure to disconnect the battery first before RAM/M.2 SSD upgrade to prevent any damage to the motherboard (see page 41 of the manual for how to disconnect the battery).
