Product: HP 15 TouchSmart Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to upgrade from the I3 3110m to the I5 3230m to extend the life of this laptop a little longer. The BIOS version currently is F.00. Am I good to just go ahead and replace the CPU or is there an update required? I haven't been able to find anything on the internet so far. Thanks in advance!

 

Update: Was just able to update the BIOS to F1.B

What is your HP 15 TouchSmart Notebook PC  ? We can't upgrade CPU alone on many machines. Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine
