HP Notebook - 15-bs134wm
Microsoft Windows 11

I opened up my computer to upgrade it and noticed it has the M.2 slot. But according to the specs page the Pentium doesn't support the M.2.

I have the Pentium Gold. Dose anyone know if I can add a M.2?

Hi:

I believe the M.2 slot will work in your notebook because according to chapter 1 page 3 of the service manual, only the models with the Intel Pentium Silver N5000/Celeron N4000 processors don't support the M.2 SATA SSD.

The manual does not exclude the notebooks with the Intel Pentium® Gold 4417U processor.

I don't believe the models with the Pentium Silver N5000/Celeron N4000 processors even have the M.2 slot on the motherboard.

Make sure you buy a SATA M.2 SSD, not NVMe, as NVMe SSD's are not supported in any of the 15-bs notebooks.
