I have a HP48GX with an environmental hard case used as a survey data collector which I've used for many years using a serial-usb cable to download the data to a desktop PC using Carlson software. However, I recently got a new HP all in one PC and now the download process doesn't work. I typically set up the data collector and the program, hit download on both ends and they should communicate. Now I get a message 'Failed to open the port Status=14'. I've tried both of the 2 usb ports on the PC, and all of the 6 com port options in the program with no luck. I didn't need any drivers in my last PC but wondering if I need them now and where to find them. Thx
