Hi,

I just need to check something about the USB C port that comes with the laptop I am having. Does it spoil any of the component in the motherboard if I attempt to draw current from the USB C port?

I am thinking of using this port to power up a USB fan but worries that it might kill the motherboard.

Thanks.

It's a charge port and provides outgoing current the same way an old school USB port does so if you have a USB-C cable that also connects to the fan it will be fine to use.
