Stream 14-cb161wm Laptop PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

My friend Michael has an HP Stream 14-cb161wm Laptop PC with Windows 10 x64 installed on it as the OS. The internal hard drive is only 32GB in size, and that is simply insufficient to get anything done on it, as it is already nearly maxed out and doesn't even have enough space to update the OS to the newest version of Windows 10.

As I understand it, the actual hard drive itself cannot be upgraded, but I have read in various postings on the Internet that similar models are compatible with a Mini PCIe mSATA Samsung PM830 128GB SSD if you make room for it by removing the WiFi card from the expansion Mini PCIe slot.

I had a few questions.

1. Is this exact laptop model upgradeable in this manner, or does this only work for other similar models? The reason I am asking is that in various online forums I have seen this discussed only with other similar models, and never with this specific one.

2. If this IS possible, what is the exact, best, model of PM830 SSD to purchase? There seem to be several models of Mini PCIe mSATA PM830 drives out there, and I was curious to see which ones are compatible.

3. I seem to have read that the WiFi adapter card in this specific model laptop is both a WiFi and a Bluetooth adapter. Is this correct, and if so, if I wished to use WiFi AND Bluetooth, would I therefore need both WiFi and Bluetooth USB adapters or dongles to make this work? Or is there some type of combined WiFi/Bluetooth USB adapter available (I don't wish to use up all my USB ports)?

Thanks in advance.
