HP Notebook - 15-f305dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP notebook 15-f305dx, ran HP system quick test, "drive short DST check failed test, error code displayed "failure I.D. GTQ001-7R4C93-MFPWMF-60SU03" contact HP support. Computer works but is very slow and apps freeze and crash. Ran Windows scan disk check and showed repair 100% complete, but HP test shows hard drive damaged. Any advice on how to proceed to repair hard drive?

You'd have to replace the drive.

I recommend you replace the 500 GB 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 500 GB 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).

Something like this:

Amazon.com: Western Digital 500GB WD Blue SA510 SATA Internal Solid State Drive SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/...

Below is the link to the service manual:

After you replace the drive, you can reinstall Windows by making a bootable USB installation flash drive with the Microsoft media creation tool from the link below:

Download Windows 10

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page:
