I've got an idea if you have not tried this...

 

Go to the device manager, right click on the problem TXE device, select Uninstall, and check the uninstall driver box.

 

Restart the PC and run the sp72200 version of the driver that you wrote worked, but didn't change things.

 

Maybe that previous driver is fouling things up.
