Your notebook has the 802.11abgn WLN Intel HMC PMP 2x2 wifi adapter installed.
You can source the driver at the Intel website
HP has not provided new drivers for your notebook for quite some time.
Unfortunately, it is a retired product and has no Windows support for Windows 10 from HP.
Your notebook does have a 2x2 antenna setup and that is good. I suggest replacing the existing wifi card with a more recent 2x2 adapter. There are plenty of other adapters available on eBay for reasonable prices that have Windows 10 suport

Hi, @User_07232020
The 8440p notebook model series has a BIOS whitelist, which prevents the installation of any wifi card not listed in the service manual from working.

None of the others listed in the manual would be any better than the Intel Centrino 6200 your notebook has now.
The Intel 6300 listed in the manual requires 3 antenna cables to work properly and most likely your notebook only has two.
