Hello, I just bought 3 new laptops HP model 15s-fq5313nw for small office. It comes without a system so I also get 3xWindows10 (64bit). After the system installation (UpToDate) I have unrecognized devices such as:
- Base System Device
- Multimedia Audio Controler
- PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller
- SM Bus Controller
...and many more.
I tried to install via update, manually from the installation CD and no success. Why the system doesn't see that hardware ?
I also installed HP assistant and diagnostics but system scan tells me there is no new hardware !
I will appreciate help, thank you.

Hi, @RalfRaa
I found the driver support page for the 15s-fq5xxx model series.
Yes, I wrote it correctly, the 15-d5000. Go figure.
HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Customer Support
Only W11 driver support as I had figured based on the product specs.
I don't see the Intel chipset installation utility on that support page though, so use the W11 one from the Probook 450 G9:
You will need that for the SMBus controller.

Hi:
I don't see a driver support page for that model series, and since you purchased a consumer-class notebook, there is probably only support for W11.
You can try these drivers from a HP business-class notebook (HP Probook 450 G9) that comes with an Intel 12th gen core processor in hope that they will work.
Intel Chipset Device Software: Should install the SM Bus Controller, Base System Device and PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller

Try this driver for the Multimedia Audio Controller:

Thank you for quick response.
Meanwhile I installed Windows 11 on that machine and there is EXACTLY same issue !
Same list of devices without drivers( PCI, Audio etc)
I really don't get it, why the system cannot install that hardware during the installation?
Is it matter there was no system before and it is new ?
Thank you.

New OS install frequently requires additional drivers and in some cases the drivers provided by Windows are generic and not the optimum specific driver. If there is no download page for your model as stated by @Paul_Tikkanen then you have to ID the devices. There is a way to do that.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/install/hardware-ids
If you can post the hardware or device ID of each of your problem devices we can point you to a driver. Maybe from HP maybe from somewhere else but drivers can be found.

Tnx Huffer.
Ok, small update now. After install Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA)
on Windows 11 all components have drivers and there is no issues.
Same app on Windows 10 still no success.
I will try those .exe what Paul linked.
tnx !
