I have a HP ProBook 4440S notebook. I also have two monitors - an HP1740 and an HP LA2405. I'd like to set up dual monitors using the notebook. Can the graphics card drive both monitors? If so, I would have to use an HDMI cable with a male DVI-D connector to plug into the LA2405. I would use the standard D-15 cable to connect the 1740. If this works, would I be able to stretch the desktop to the 1740, or would they have to be split as two separate screens?
Thanks

The ProBook 4440s (Technical Quickspecs at http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/14306_na/14306_na.pdf) can support 2 video outs, either 2 external (hdmi and vga) or the lcd panel and 1 external. Although HP does not support hdmi to dvi adapters, they are available and seem somewhat inexpensive so can be purchased for testing. Both hdmi and vga ports are usable
